Though the New England Patriots may be undefeated, they currently have some competition in the potential, "perfect season" field. Currently, both the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers are 7-0.

The Broncos just came off of a huge week eight victory, exposing Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers imploding offense. For Carolina, the Panthers fought tooth and nail to scratch out a victory over New England's arch nemesis, the Indianapolis Colts. Once again, an elite defense exposed a crumbling offense in the process.

As of now, Denver stands to be the biggest road block on the Patriots path to perfectness, though that doesn't seem to worry Brady. “I could really care less about those type of things. When you reflect back, you think, ‘Wow, that was a great year.’ But when you’re in the middle of it, you can’t do anything about a game in December. We have one mission, this week. It sounds like a cliché but it’s not, because it works. It’s what our team is about. We’re short-term focused.”

Being short termed focus is a template that Bill Belichick and the Patriots have used to construct the foundation of their team and it has been a winning formula to say the least. But longevity is key, especially around this time, midway through the season and maybe New England should start worrying about a potential matchup in Denver.
