You had always been a good actor so your act was believable and Edward fell for it easily. As soon as you hit the floor he had moved towards you.
"Hey," he leaned down and nudged you, "Are you okay?"
You didn't reply and kept laying down with your eyes closed. Edward felt your pulse and then your breathing. You hoped he would just leave you alone and walk away but instead he scooped you up in his arms.
You were so surprised at this, a yelp almost escaped your throat but you calmed down just in time. Edward carried you all the way to his home and put you down on a sofa.
"What happened to her?" you heard someone ask.
"She fainted in the forest, can you look at her?" Edward explained. The person who had spoken first came closer.
You couldn't take it anymore so you jumped up and started laughing.
It was getting harder to pretend to be unconscious but you endured.
