You turn towards the hills, and start hiking.

Your going is slowed by the mud. At first its slick, and your flats slip and slide all over the place. All that slipping makes your tits bounce wildly, and your top refuses to stay in place. Before long, you tire of fighting it, and just leave it bunched around your waist. You fall a couple of times, and muddy your knees and elbows. Your flats are not only covered in mud, but full of it, too. You're starting to regret coming this way, but figure you've come too far to turn back now.

As the day goes on, the mud starts to dry, and it thickens from a slippery soup into a clinging morass with the consistency of molasses. Since you're no longer falling over every five steps, you pull your top back into position, where it stays for the most part. However, you're hiking speed is severely impaired by the clinging mud. Every time you try to take a step, you have to fight to keep your shoes on. You nearly trip and fall several times, but manage to catch yourself. However, you end up planting your bare foot in the mud several times, cringing every time it happens.

Up ahead, the trail narrows, heading along a steep embankment. The trail here is just as muddy as before. Taking your shoes off will be safer, but you can't stand the thought of walking through the mud barefoot.
