You carefully tiptoe behind your mother sitting on the couch, yet she doesn't seem to notice. She's wearing the periwinkle nightgown she usually sleeps in, with her right hand slipped in between. Her eyes are shut closed, with her muffled pants filling her ears. You figure that she didn't want to wake you up. Hundreds of thoughts rush through your mind at once. Never have you been so up close and personal to your mother.
