Those two are two of our agents. We prefer to stay outside of existence, it’s easier to guide things when we’re not on the physical plane.
However, sometimes we are pressured to choose a human to act as a catalyst for Us. This is a last resort, though. They are Mortals whom We have blessed with power to help redirect the Balance back into line. If they do a good job and do not become corrupted, We let them keep their powers so long as they are willing to help with the Balance.
When they die, they can choose to join us in not-existence and help us more directly with the problems that come up. Or they can… do what people do when they die. They say the last part slowly. You get the idea they don’t want to tell you too much on what happens after death.
We currently have… four agents.
In regards to you, Gerard was supposed to be the only one helping you get a handle on things, but Margaret got bored and decided to… help out a little.
