"Well, I'm interested in becoming a veterinarian," you tell her. "Hence why I was accepted into this academy in the first place, I suppose. I'm also dabbling in things like English and Philosophy as a second choice if that doesn't fall through, though I hope that doesn't happen."
Kristen nods, seemingly impressed. "It looks like you have your priorities straight."
You shrug. "That's just what you have to do when you're pursuing your dream, no?"
"That's agreeable, yes," she replies. "You should check-out that book; this library will be closing for maintenance soon."
