"I was just exploring!" You squeak indignantly.
"Is that so?" He looms over you threateningly.
You cower slightly under his glare, but manage to hold your ground. "Well what else would I have been doing?!" You ask sarcastically. "Invading Shadowclan?" This might be the first time you've opened your eyes, but you've heard your family talking. You remember what they said about the different clans.
"Now, now, Longclaw, there's no need for that!" A female voice comes from behind you. "She's just a kit." You turn around to see a pretty silver cat walking out of the den.
"She's a burden!" The tom, Longclaw, argues.
"She's your kin!" The silver cat sounds shocked and offended. The tom grumbles. The silver cat turns to you. "Why don't you go back to sleep, Bluekit? It's getting late. Your mother will be so happy that you opened your eyes."
