The next day she finally left her room, but didn't talk to you. She stayed silent for the entire day and half of the next one. Like it was your fault she didn't lock the bathroom door.
"I'm sorry, I thought this through and I guess... I guess I overreacted." she eventually said to you "Are we cool?"
"Of course we are Zoe, why wouldn't we?"
"I'd like to ask you abou..." Zoe started
"Scott, I'd like to talk to you" your mother interrupted Zoe
"Hang on, my mom needs me, but we'll talk about whatever you wanted to ask me later, ok?" she nodded.
