<·..·´AWAKENING`·..·>
You are not yet fully awake, but your mind registers three distinct sounds. Two are voices, and the third, a low whooshing noise.
"It's too noisy."
"Shut up..."
"But the noise..."
"Go jiggle the handle then!"
You awaken from the shout, the voice oddly familiar. Even as you sit upright, you quickly realize that the second voice had been your own, and the first, a figment of your imagination. The other noise fills your head instead, becoming more urgent the longer it persists.
The light spilling in from around the ratty cotton curtain stings your eyes when you open them. The room does not seem that familiar.
