The creatures use crude weapons of no use to you. Several of the magus carry minor mana stones. You can obviously tell you'll need these to use even a fraction of the staff's power. There is a scroll, which, upon reading it, bestows upon you knowledge of Seiken; an eastern crusading sword art, which strikes the enemies, tripling the Vorpal Blade's power. You only have one use of this attack, so use it wisely.
