You decide to go up to the castle.

You look through a window, and see a magnificent, ruined castle perched halfway up a mountain. The long shadows it casts in the give it a somewhat creepy feel even in the afternoon light. You can imagine the von Furchtsam family ruling the countryside with an iron fist.

It's a long way up that mountain.

You ask the innkeeper, "Is there somewhere in town I can rent a car?"

He looks at you peculiarly. "No, but Hans will run people around for a fee. If you have somewhere you need to go, ask him. But most things in town should be within walking distance." He scribbles down an address and gives you directions.

It's easy enough to find Hans' house. The town really isn't that big. You knock on the door, and a middle ages man answers.

"Yes?"

"I'm Melissa, from the Lager and Hays firm, and I'm here to find Walfreid Von Furchtsam. I want to go visit the castle. I'd heard that you will run people places."

"Miss," he says, "I'd advise against going up there. People disappear on that mountain."

"I'm not afraid of local superstitions." You say, but you are a bit uneasy anyways.

Hans surveys you carefully "If you're that keen on going, I can drive you up tomorrow morning, but I'm not going up this time of day. The sun's going down, and it's not smart to get caught up there in the dark. Come back tomorrow"

You're anxious to see what it's all about. You're a pretty fast walker, and you think you could make it up there and back down before it gets too dark. Besides, you've got a mini-flashlight with you if it does.

But maybe it'd be smarter to wait until morning.
