You succeed in defeating Leaf's Bulbasaur but it wasn't too much of a challenge. She kneels over her fainted pokemon and hurriedly leaves to get it healed.
You leave with a smug smile at your first victory although you wish you could have spent a little more time with Leaf. You'll have to catch up to her later.
