Blood Sunrise
Your name is Gareth, you are a blacksmith living in the town of Moulton. The year is 1185.
Up to now, you have lived a fairly ordinary (boring) life - you've experienced nothing particularly happy, and nothing especially tragic. If one were to ask you the best thing about your life, you'd probably respond with your wife's name, Minda. She has made your uninteresting life much more enjoyable.
However, one year ago she contracted an unknown disease from coming into contact with a travelling merchant. You searched high and low for a cure but it was never found, and she died one early spring morning.
Since then, you have spent most of your days keeping to yourself and drinking your sorrows away. Surely you would be happy if an unexpected event were to make an abrupt change in this dreary and tragic life.
