The Chief Mage’s eyes widen, she lets out a strangled protest before her legs give out. A primal cry tears free as she's rocked by shudder after shudder. Her fingers twitch uselessly in the air, as if trying to grasp something – perhaps reality itself. She struggles to form words, but all that comes out is a few incoherent sounds. Her eyes are unfocused. She lets out a single, trembling exhale. 

You can’t help but smirk. "I had to be sure the spell was working properly," you say, feigning innocence. She makes an attempt to lift her head, only to let it fall back against the end table in defeat. After several moments she manages the faintest motion of her hand, as if dismissing you from her hut.
