As the words are written the world around you starts to fade away into a monotonous grey. Everything melting into itself and disappearing, as the final vestiges of color fade you feel as if you are drowning, an inexplicable wave of fear rushes over you.

And your eyes open. You are laying peacefully on an empty train seat your head resting against your uncomfortable bag. You had been dreaming and the real world called. You see your destination now, the growing town of Akanada. Your home for the foreseeable future. Within minutes, the train has drawn to a halt at the station, only you and two other passengers disembark, this is the late train and had been delayed even further, causing you to arrive just after midnight.

Your shared apartment is only a ten-minute walk away from the station and you arrive in time to crash into your thin mattress, returning to your dreams, though none nearly as vivid or surreal as what you experienced on the train.
