UCW (December 2005-September 2007)

2005

Chris Kash made his debut in a backstage dispute with Archibald Williams on the first ever episode of UCW Dynamite on December 13th, 2005. Later that night he became the first ever UCW States Champion by defeating Williams in a 'Casket Match'.

2006

After a feud over the States title, which climaxed in a Last Man Standing match at UCW's first big event The Devil's Lair, the two became UCW's first ever Tag Team Champions. Later that night, they were defeated in a handicap match by the Gatekeeper and forced to join his new stable World Power. They served as Gatekeeper's lackeys during his reign as UCW Champion, which lasted one year and seven months.

2007

At UCW's September 2007 event Alpha, Chris Kash revealed that he was teaming up with the newcomer J-Man, forming a tag team that would become known as The Resistance. The two walked to the ring holding shovels, which were often used as illegal weapons, and Kash began wearing ridiculous entrance attire, including an American flag as a cape.

On September 9th, 2007, in the main event of Summer Series Day 1, Chris Kash had a UCW Championship match against Fireball. Kash hit a Punisher, but since Kash had previously incapacitated the referee, J-Man, who had a referee's license from his early days in UCW, slid in and made the count. This marked the first time Kash won the UCW Championship. This was when The Resistance decided to usher in a new era, trying to take over UCW and rename it DWA, the Davenport Wrestling Alliance. Gatekeeper became upset that Kash was showing more loyalty to The Resistance than World Power. He demanded that Kash make a choice, and Kash chose The Resistance.

The first person to challenge him as champion was Wolvesbane. The two had a non title Last Man Standing match on Day 2 of the Summer Series. Wolvesbane won after giving Kash a Full Moon Hiptoss through a table. However, in Kash's first defense of what he was now calling the DWA Undisputed Championship, he faced Wolvesbane in a second Last Man Standing match. This time, he won the match, when he and Wolvesbane stood on a ladder above a table, and J-Man threw Kash the Undisputed belt. Kash pelted Wolvesbane in the skull with the belt, sending him plummeting through the table.

In Kash's last match in 2007, he gave Fireball his rematch for the DWA Undisputed Championship. Despite Fireball dominating the majority of the match, Kash crawled away with a victory after a low-blow.

2008

The new year really began for Kash when the first annual Victory Way tournament began on March 22nd, 2008. He defeated Satan in Round 1 with a Punisher, and Taylor 'The Train' Bley in Round 2 by Disqualification when The Train hit him with a chair out of frustration. In the finals, he defended the DWA Undisputed Championship against his former leader The Gatekeeper. The match had no clear winner. Kash put Gatekeeper in the Kashmission, a modified Tazzmission, and at the same time that Gatekeeper tapped out, he was pinning Kash. At the next show, (Earthquakes, Bomb Threats and Banana Boats), The Resistance challenged Gatekeeper and newcomer Robbie Bentley for the DWA Tag Team Championships. They lost the match after Kash took a Closing the Gate Chokebomb from Gate. On May 2nd, at the first Deadly Draw, Kash retained the Undisputed title against four other competitors when J-Man distracted Gatekeeper, setting him up for a Punisher.

On May 17th, The Resistance unveiled the new DWA Championship belt, which would be separate from the old UCW title. Kash was still known as the DWA Undisputed Champion because he held both these major titles. At Payback on May 26th, Kash lost a TLC match for the UCW Championship to the Gatekeeper, and failed to win it back in a rematch at All For The Ham Sandwich on June 11th. On June 22nd at Relentless, Kash defended the DWA Championship against the #1 Contender Steve Moss. Kash retained after a Punisher, but immediately afterwards, Moss shocked everyone by utilizing his Cash in the Case opportunity, hitting Kash over the head with the CitC briefcase, and winning the DWA Championship.

Now beltless, Kash was targeted by Robbie Bentley, and Bentley's cousin and bodyguard, 'The Spartan' Drew Barton. Kash lost a singles match to The Spartan on July 1st and a Submission match to Bentley at Desperation, which turned out to be for the recently vacated DWA Title. Kash beat Bentley in a 2 out of 3 Falls match on July 17th, making him #1 Contender at Prelude on August 8th. Bentley demanded that the match take place under IronCore rules, a hybrid between an Ironman match and a Hardcore match. Bentley narrowly beat Kash in that match, 6 falls to 5. This temporarily ended the rivalry between the two, but it would later be reengaged.

The Resistance defeated The Family for the DWA Tag Titles on August 17th. After his wars with Robbie Bentley, Kash found himself again embroiled in problems with Taylor Bley. The Train beat Kash down after a match and challenged him to face him in the 2nd ever Cash in the Case Ladder match at Evolution II. Kash had the Cash in the Case won, but Train knocked down the ref, hit Kash with a chair, knocking him off the ladder and onto a wooden board. Train then simply scooped up the briefcase and was recognized as the winner.

At Alpha 2008, Chris came out to talk to the fans, wearing a hood and holding a Dr. Pepper, which he soon spat on the audience and threw across the yard. He informed everyone that he was sick of being laughed at while putting his body on the line trying to entertain the people, so he was no longer going to be anyone's hero. Later in the night, during an I Quit match for the DWA Undisputed Title (it had been unified again at Evolution), J-Man used his General Manager capabilities to include Kash in the match, and after a spear, Kash was a 2 time DWA Undisputed Champion. He defended the title against Robbie Bentley and The Train on October 10th, winning the match and retaining the title. He again retained in a match against the returning Drew Barton by disqualification. On October 26th at Feel the Mother Fucking Cold, Train cashed in his title shot, but lost to Kash anyway.

On November 4th 2008, Kash decided to once and for all separate the two major titles, creating the DWA Undisputed Title and the Hardcore Title. He defended the Hardcore title under 24/7 rules, losing it immediately to The Train. Then on November 16th, Kash lost to Robbie Bentley in a non-title singles match, but defeated both The Spartan and Bentley in an Undisputed Championship Triple Threat match. Chris Kash defended the DWA Undisputed Title against The Train and The Spartan at the DWA 3 Year Anniversary Show, losing the title to Barton after a Spartan Clash.
