Creation of the community
In 2007, Breakfall.net was opened by Chris Cryptic and Jonathan Brovata in favoritism of backyard wrestling federations based in Australia since Australian backyard wrestling ceased to receive enough attention tha was being taken over by federation of other countries. BFN presented a professionally designed website in contrast to other communities, integrating various federations, and maintaining a experience many eventually criticized had more "maturity" to Global Backyard Wrestling News (GBYWN).
Visitors Competition with GBYWN
In early 2008, Breakfall.net however developed a strong fanbase to its website competing for visitors with GBYWN. Unfortunately due to BFN not updating as often as it should, and prefering much more rather to discuss Australian federations, it became an outdated website while many federations from foreign countries chose to divert to the alternative.
