History
Miller was an all-out World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment wrestling fan since 1999 after a cousin interested him in the entertainment form. He began playfully practicing it himself during elementary school days in 1999 under imitation of those known as Hulk Hogan, The Rock and Triple H, organizing events and carrying them out with friends who duplicated other gimmicks.
After ceasing to wrestle in junior high in 2004, he wondered if such beyond existed and as an actual organization in a backyard or field. Eventually one day in early 2006, he stumbled across a hardcore backyard wrestling organization on the web entitled Wicked Hardcore Wrestling. This pulled him into the sport and motivated him to search further and in his findings was XBW Wrestling that he has fanned to this day idolizing one of their prominent talent in Ryan Stevens. Around the same year, Miller discovered a premiering In Your House Wrestling Alliance, who started to produce videos on YouTube of their training stages.
Soon, Miller started to find messages promoting Backyard Wrestling News (now Global Backyard Wrestling News) and was lured to the freewebs site by Cam, occassionally visiting with first thoughts that the site would likely subside due to its cheap look and low visitation levels, but recognized how willing the members were. When BYWN made the successful switch to GBYWN with a better web outlook and members visually accumulated, Miller was impressed and later became a regular visitor and further on, the GBYWN Scout Chief of the community.
The Backyard Wrestling Station
The height of Miller's impression with backyard wrestling federations was after reviewing 2KW in 2008. Following that, he decided to launch a channel devoted to backyard wrestling on YouTube called The Backyard Wrestling Station (TBYWS), sort of a rip from the five letter GBYWN. After feverishly promoting the channel for viewers, it started featuring occassional updates, links to communities, calendar dates and playlists and rapidly gained some success garnering over 7,000 channel views in 7 months for an underground sport channel.
BYWpedia
Over TBYWS, Miller announced his plans to open a wiki about backyard wrestling which was created in September 2008. He went through the coding process and created a few articles before officially lauching it on GBYWN on March 22, 2009.
