2007

At UCW's September 2007 event Alpha, Chris Kash revealed that he was teaming up with the newcomer J-Man, forming a tag team that would become known as The Resistance. The two walked to the ring holding shovels, which were often used as illegal weapons, and Kash began wearing ridiculous entrance attire, including an American flag as a cape.

On September 9th, 2007, in the main event of Summer Series Day 1, Chris Kash had a UCW Championship match against Fireball. Kash hit a Punisher, but since Kash had previously incapacitated the referee, J-Man, who had a referee's license from his early days in UCW, slid in and made the count. This marked the first time Kash won the UCW Championship. This was when The Resistance decided to usher in a new era, trying to take over UCW and rename it DWA, the Davenport Wrestling Alliance. Gatekeeper became upset that Kash was showing more loyalty to The Resistance than World Power. He demanded that Kash make a choice, and Kash chose The Resistance.

The first person to challenge him as champion was Wolvesbane. The two had a non title Last Man Standing match on Day 2 of the Summer Series. Wolvesbane won after giving Kash a Full Moon Hiptoss through a table. However, in Kash's first defense of what he was now calling the DWA Undisputed Championship, he faced Wolvesbane in a second Last Man Standing match. This time, he won the match, when he and Wolvesbane stood on a ladder above a table, and J-Man threw Kash the Undisputed belt. Kash pelted Wolvesbane in the skull with the belt, sending him plummeting through the table.

In Kash's last match in 2007, he gave Fireball his rematch for the DWA Undisputed Championship. Despite Fireball dominating the majority of the match, Kash crawled away with a victory after a low-blow.
