After THW 23/NBYWA 6: Revival was canceled, Skull Jr. negotiated with Higher Passion Wrestling about NBYWA holding an event before their "Homecoming" show. The proposal was approved, and NBYWA was also able to get a co-promotion deal with their next show, "Hell-O-Ween". Skull was booked to defend his THW World Heavyweight Championship against RPK.
