Background
Jonathan Cross was discovered by fellow backyard wrestler Tommy Taboo while being trained with him at the AWF Wrestling Dojo in June 2007. The two became friends through but would go their seperate ways after the training was complete, 1 year later Tommy Taboo contacted Jonathan Cross and invited him to participate in a show held by his fed XAW.
XAW(2009 - Present)
Jonathan Cross' first federation, His talent was noticed Benny Slater and Adam Chunky who were guests at an XAW show and invited Cross to participate in the rebirth of LCWA. Jonathan Cross (while being a member of several feds) will always call XAW home, he faced Chris Cryptic there at "Jobfest 2" A match that he won, more recently he faced and was defeated by K-Man who had travelled to Australia from Germany. In his first 6 months Jonathan Cross had captured the XAW Championship.
LCWA(2009 - Present)
While XAW gave Cross his start, LCWA is where he achieved his potential, he was taken under the wing of Benny Slater (arguably the best yarder to ever call the South Coast home) and improved rapidly, in his first year he wrestled a host of big names at LCWA (Brynx, Mark O Mac, Benny Slater, Adam Chunky and Kip Karnage) In 2010 Jonathan Cross teamed with Adam Chunky to form "Contract Killers" Cross developed a mean streak as a resuly of this partership, a meanstreak that was justified by his performance at Tournament Of No Remorse IV. He defeated his former mentor's Brynx and Benny Slater consecutivly to clinch his first LCWA Championship, making him the first duel holder of the LCWA and XAW Championships. Cross went on to prove he was no transitional champion, he defeated Brynx once more and then in one of his most impressive outings defeated Chalis even though sporting a pair of cracked ribs (A result of his match with Brynx)
IYHWA(2009 - 2010)
Cross wrestled his fair share of matches at IYHWA, although only reaching mid-card status, he took on James Synite at one of the 'IYHWA ImprovEdition. Although hailing from Ingleburn in Sydney, Jonathan Cross represented the South Coast at the 'Sydney vs. South Coast; interfed where he defeated Underminer with the Cross 555 followed by the Heat Seeking Missile in one his most impressive macthes. His effort were in vain as the South Coast went down 3-2.
The Travels of Jonathan Cross
James Synite started it, Benny Slater and Adam Chunky continued it and Jonathan Cross embodied it. Travelling to shows is never easy, it is expensive as well as mentally and pyshically draining. Cross will shrug and tell you that if you love wrestling that it is all worth it, in his first year of backyard wrestling, Cross visited and was victorios at every active fed in NSW. he was the first guest to appear at NBW (Northern Beaches Wrestling) where he defeated Chalis in a No DQ match. (Inspired by his effort, the rest of the LCWA Crew made the trip a month later) It eventually payed off for Cross as he became the first ever "ABYW Triple Crown Champion" After he defeated ABYW legend RuZty for the YWF Championship"
