The HGEW Hardcore Championship was a backyard wrestling world championship in HomeGrown Extreme Wrestling (HGEW). The first champion was High Voltage Hardie and the last was NRGY. The championship was regarded to be the stepping stone championship in HGEW.
History
Origination & Reigns
The HGEW Hardcore Championship was created in late 2008, the first match for the title was Between High Voltage Hardie and E-Nile-Ation. Hardie won the Match after putting E-Nile-Ation through a table. Hardie eventully lost the title to Richard Stanley. Stanley's Brief run as HGEW Hardcore Champion was cut short by "The Bulldozer" Grant Elder. The Match was a highly rated match but was dominated by Elder and Hardie was finished off with the Elder Bomb. Elder had a better run than Stanley did, defeating Ultimigo Henriguez. Elder was stripped from the championship after failing to show for training and live events. After Elder was Stripped from the title, a star who made himself a household name on Implosion and Sidelines, Hardcore Hudson. Hudson was brought in By NRGY as a substitute to square off against Nile Robbins. Hudson won his first ever HGEW match after hitting the Hudson Bomb. This brought him attention from the HGEW officials and he was signed up for Implosion. Hudson's first match for Implosion was for the HGEW Hardcore Championship competing with Richard Stanley and Ultimigo Henriguez. Hudson won the championship for the first time, and defended the belt on numerous occasions like a grudge match between Adam Ace, the protege of NRGY. Hudson would eventually lose the title in a Gladiators Bout Qualifying match against JKH. JKH represented the championship in numerous events such as the Gladiators Bout and defended the title on several occasions, before getting injured and the title was retired with him.
