Davenport Wrestling Alliance
In The Beginning
Ryan Burge made his Debut as Robbie Bentley on April 25th, 2008 against Satan, who Burge beat easily and took his place. A surprise came to the Resistance when during the main event Gatekeeper's partner happened to be Burge, Burge and Gatekeeper successfully defended the DWA Tag Titles against The Resistance. On Burge's first night he was a DWA champion and it showed he was in for a successful career. At the next show, Burge defeated Wolvesbane and on May 17th, 2008, Burge faced J-Man in a hardcore and won.
Burge later competed in the Deadly Draw against Kash, J-Man, Gatekeeper, and Wolvesbane. Burge managed to elimated Wolvesbane but was elimated by J-Man and Kash. Burge began to feud against J-Man for J-Man new States Title but after Burge was beat down by the Resistance that dream ended, it also showed Burge that he was outnumbered and he brought in his cousin, Drew Barton.
Meet the Spartan and Burge's First Title Reign
Burge brought in his Cousin/Bodyguard/Partner/Monster "The Spartan" Drew Barton on July 1st, 2008, where Barton quickly demolished the likes of Kash and Steve Moss. Barton replaced Gatekeeper on Burge's team and Burge rested easy as Barton handled his dirty work. When Steve Moss was "fired" for "substance abuse", Burge and Kash had a submissions match, which unknowning to Kash was for the vacant DWA Undisputed Title.
Burge teamed up with Gatekeeper once more to face The Resistance for the "Company that wins takes over" but Burge walked out on Gatekeeper when he realized that if DWA lost he wouldn't champion. Burge later faced Kash in DWA's first ever Ironcore match which Burge retained his Title. On Dynamite August 17th, 2008, The Family (Burge and Barton) lost their Tag Titles to J-Man and Kash after J-Man ducked the Killswitch, which hit Barton instead, the same night Burge's cousin, Barton, beat Gatekeeper for the UCW Title and retired him.
At Evolution, Burge faced Patrick Snuka, a fan that cost The Family the Tag Titles, in a Street Fight and later in the Main Event against his Cousin, Barton, to unify the DWA Undisputed Title and UCW Title which Burge lost.
Due to the inactiveness of the Unified Undisputed Champion, Drew Barton was stripped of the Titles which Burge claimed for himself until J-Man came out and faced him for the Titles which, thanks to J-Man's help, Chris Kash took advantage of Burge's weakened state and won the Titles.
Good-Bye Robbie Bentley
Burge faced Kash along with Taylor Bley on October 10th, 2008, in a Triple Threat in which Kash retained his Titles. Burge was then one of the three people targeted by the returning Barton on DWA Swerve?!?!. ON DWA's Feel the Motherfucking Cold, Burge faced Steve Moss, who was rehired by J-Man when the Resistance took over. At the next show, On November 16th, 2008, Burge faced Kash to be apart of the Title match later that night, Burge won the match against Kash but was beaten by Kash in the Triple Threat that included the Spartan.
At DWA's 3 Year Anniversary Show, Burge faced Patrick Snuka once again in a Street Fight that Burge won. Then on January 1st, 2009, Burge (as Robbie Bentley) faced Wolvesbane and if he lost he would retire, Burge lost to Wolvesbane and Robbie Bentley retired.
Back Again
On February 16th, 2009, Burge (as Ryan Burge) returned to DWA and saved Patrick Snuka from Chris Kash, announcing their team, The AK-48s. At Exodus, Burge faced Kash in a single match and had the advantage but J-Man attacked Burge, trying to cripple him before the Exodus Match, but Snuka help Burge escape the Resistance's attack. Later after his match, Burge met Joe Rodriguez who had a business suggestion for Burge.
Burge competed in the Exodus Match with his Partner Snuka against Barton and Train, and the Resistance. As Kash begged on his knees for mercy from Burge, Rodriguez came out and Burge superkicked Snuka, Burge later joined J-Man and Kash to create Scylla. With Scylla watching his back, Burge competing in a Tag match with J-Man and handicap match with Kash. Though Burge proved he could hold his own when he faced Dylan Capdevila. He later used Scylla to attack Barton (the current DWA Undisputed Champion) and win the Title.
As Champion, Burge faced Snuka in the second Ironcore and retained his title, although Burge's Title reign was cut short when J-Man stripped him of the DWA Undisputed Title for missing the Earth Day Show. Ryan Burge faced Kash to decide whether or not Burge would stays with Scylla, Burge lost the match and went from head of Scylla to J-Man and Kash's lacky.
Burge faced Bley in a "By the Books" match with Burge lost, and later at DWA vs AJ Rodz, Burge competed in the Battle Royal to crown the Crap Champion, which Burge didn't win, Faced Kash which he didn't win either, and competed with his teammates against Barton and Rodz, which Scylla lost.
At the Collin Ingold Tribute show, Burge faced Barton which Burge lost. During the Summer Series, Burge faced Kash and won, then quit Scylla. Burge joined forces with his cousin once more to face The Spidermen and then faced Robby Roberts for the DWA Undisputed Title but lost.
