On the 2nd September 2009, HGEW Opened a Website on Ning. On the [http://hgewonline.ning.com/ Official Website] they posted a match. This match was [http://hgewonline.ning.com/video/tyler-rage-vs-president-payne Tyler Rage vs President Payne], this was test match to get a review from critics. The match was well received by critics and fellow Backyard wrestlers. After the success, HGEW announced their first Free Per View known as Trepidation. HGEW then announced that it was the reincarnation of fallen federation BAW, so they had a year long history. In this time they competed on a small trampoline for small crowds, now they announced that they aim to become the federation that puts Scottish BYW on the map.

HGEW Trepidation was announced. Warren Hardie announced the matchcard on his Ning Page. He announced that he would face JKH in a Falls Count Anywhere Match to crown the first HGEW Champion. Also, That a Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match would also occur, this would involve; Macdonald, Ryan Shadows, President Payne and Killah Craig. On 12th September, the HGEW roster assembled in Nairn, Scotland to compete. The show opened with promos from 3 of the 4 competitors including a segment where Ryan Shadows announced new signings who would debut on their first weekly Implosion show. Killah Craig won the 4 way after delivering the Killah Kick to Ryan Shadows. Then, the Main Event began. JKH won the main event after reversing a TKO into a roll-up, to crown the first ever HGEW Champion. JKH also became the youngest World Champion in Backyard Wrestling. After the match, J-Punk attacked JKH and the referee with a Double P.N.D. J-Punk then stood over JKH and dropped the belt in front of him.

On 10th October 2009, Warren Hardie announced that HGEW would be going through some major changes to cope with their wrestling style. They announced that their Bi-weekly show Implosion, would be competed on a trampoline, but, their Supercards would take places at different ground venues, giving them 'the best of both worlds'. Warren also teased at the idea of HGEW going LIVE, but stated it was at the 'discussion stage'. Then, HGEW: No Love was announced. On Valentines Day, HGEW will return with their "No Love" Free-per-view. The main event was announced as JKH vs Joker. Ryan Shadows has been repackaged as the Jammy Extreme Joker as his new persona.

Origin

HGEW started up in 2008 for a laugh with a bunch of friends having fun on a trampoline. They began filming matches and putting them on one of one of their friends' channel, but he would go on to leave the company and took all the videos with him. HGEW opened a channel in February 2010, but due to roster dropouts, HGEW went into an indefinite hiatus.

HGEW announced official closure in October 2010 after being bought over by The Empire and more details are expected to be uncovered on TBW - Full Force.
