The Renegades is a backyard wrestling tweener stable that originally wrestled in Kick Ass Wrestling just shortly before Northeast Championship Wrestling, which initially consisted of PJ Matthews, Ace Reed, Nick Adams, Danny Madness, and Aaron Foley and currently, Ace Reed, Shawn Matthews, (despite his departure from NECW) and Danny Madness. The group was consolidated in 2008 after The Four Aces fused with PJ Matthews and Aaron Foley, going on to NECW with the merger of KAW, BCW and EWA, where Shawn Matthews joined the group.
Their gimmick concentrated on taking a less serious tone backstage and sparking humor amongst themselves to entertain the online audience, displaying self-humorous, and sometimes unpredictable behavior. All members, however, have their own philosophies. Within competition, they are a strung together unit coming together for the common cause of victory without resorting to blatant tactics.
