[edit] Bio

Jagi, also known as "Jagi Backswing," grew up poor and is still relatively poor, but has more money due to his skill with his granpappy's banjo. His mother died of some disease or other and his father drank himself to death. He left his hometown due to girl troubles and trouble with the law. After joining up to go fight the forces of darkness in return for a full pardon, he was inexplicably transported to the sentient plane of existence known as Neft, where he died unceremoniously.

The Minstrel Boy

The minstrel boy to the war is gone,

In the ranks of death you will find him.

His father's sword he hath girded on

And his banjo slung behind him.

"Land of song!", said the warrior bard

"Though all the world betrays thee

One sword at least thy rights shall guard,

One faithful banjo shall praise thee."

The minstrel fell but the foeman's chains

Could not bring that proud soul under.

The banjo he loved ne'er spoke again,

For he tore its chords asunder;

And said, "No chain shall sully thee,

Thou soul of love and bravery.

Thy songs were made for the pure and free,

They shall never sound in slav'ry!"
