Situation
Saxton Map: Eaton
Eaton lies on the Onny river, at the confluence of the east and west branches. It's about 2km west of Myndtown, 1km south of Hardwick. The land around it is very gentle. rising slightly to the SW
History
At the time of Domesday, it was referred to as part of Tickelvorde. The manor belonged to Wenlock Priory both before and after the conquest.

Castle
A barrow in the village was adopted by the Normans as a motte.
