Situation

Minton sits hard against The Long Mynd hills, about 1km south-west of Little Stretton. It is about 2km north of Whittingslow

History

Recorded as one of William de Picot, also known as Picot de Say's holdijngs in SHropshire in DOmesday.

A motte and bailey castle, just east of the village, base and summit diamertes 26m & 10m, partially surrounded by a ditch.
