I'm kind of open to what should happen here. Something or someone musical. Here were my initial thoughts:
Marcus is Irish, writes music, sings beautifully,
and narrowly missed being a monk. About as far as I had got on a companion was thinking, "they should play music." It could be anything beyond that from a monkish fan who follows him like some folks followed the grateful dead, to a full on Occitan troubador-type, to someone with enchanting music, to a werewolf who just happens to play the harp, to Robin's minstrels from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
