Situation

Cardington sites on rolling hilly land shelted on the NW, West, and South sides, by hills. Enchmarsh stands 1km north of it, higher up into the ridge hills of the Wilderness and the Lawley. Gretton sits about 1km to the east. To the south, Willstone hill, Cardington hill, and Sharpstones wrap around it, from Caer Caradoc & Hope Bowdler Hill.

Church
St James' church, in the centre of the village, is long roofed, partly Norman, and partly gothic.
