Situation
Alcaston lies in Ape Dale, on the NW side of the Byne Brook, that runs to the SW along the NW side of Wenlock Edge. It faces down across the brook, towards the NW slope of Wenlock edge
History
There are the remains of a moated site here, and by the 16th Century there was a manor house.
