Situation

Adstone hill is a noticeable hill, separated from The Long Mynd by the valley of the Cuftin Brook. The village of medieval times is shown lying below this, adjacent to the Warren Flu. - now known as the River East Onny.
History
The medieval village lay on the east bank of the river, in a steep v-shaped valley, at the point where the river swings from follwoing the east side of the valley to the west. The name means "Eadda's or "Aedda's stone".
In 1211 Thomas de Eddastan was a witness when Leueline de Modlicote gave twelve acres of land in Medlicott to Haughmond Abbey.
