Newport(Filipino: Bagong Pier), officially the Republic of Newport, is an island nation, with the City of Newport as the national capital. It is composed of two large islands and 5 smaller ones.
The country's name came from the founder of the country, Maximo Cartel, who named the two islands Rehiyon ng Bagong Pier for Region of Newport, during his landing in April 1, 1707 and proclamed the islands as a new nation.
