Background
A young man showing suttle tenacity and infinite vigor for his community.
WINBACK, the self-proclaimed "main character", is a recent addition to the Action Discussion board. He has quickly established his witty and justified cynicism several times among his fellow users, never showing bias nor conformism. However, this attitude causes others to get the impression that he is not an "anime fan", and is often mistaken to be a troll, when he is simply attempting to be less scripted than others.
Little is known about where he originated from, his identity, or why he decided to join. Nevertheless, he is quickly gaining notice with his realistic demeanor, proper spelling, and superb (yet lightly altered) grammar, causing him to constantly shine out from the crowds of meaningless "LOL QFT SHEXY" posts that congest around him.

Spelling & Grammar
"People don't seem to get this joke, but I can see why, since they don't think much about it. Spelling properly and having good grammar is not something that gets you respect or praised. That's Internet 101, a class I should be teaching. I’m not even really that great a speller compared to some people. So then why did I feel it was worth mentioning? Because it's funny that 70 percent of the people we talk to on the internet can't do it.
Let's be real here. People who skip letters, don’t use Spell Check, don't use the Shift key, don't use periods to finish sentences, don't use the ENTER key (wall-of-text), and say things to you such as 'your a idiot' or 'your retarted' are just worthless. You look down on them, and usually leave it to the other peers to realize that he or she is not worth talking back to. These people won't even take the time to master writing (or in this case, typing) the language they've been raised to speak since the day they were born. It's ridiculous when you think about it, especially when they justify it with 'I don't care'. You think he or she will still care when it takes an hour and a half to fill out an intelligently composed job application?
I know 70 percent can seem a bit absurd, but I’m sticking to it. So when you get some fairly intelligent person on the internet who can type up a storm with minor errors at worst, it's like a friggin' miracle, and that is the joke. I'm a friggin' miracle; an English oasis on the dumb-ass internet. Just for spelling properly (which isn’t even hard to begin with), I already look more intelligent than 70 percent of my e-peers. Do I expect everyone to strive to be perfect, like me? No. I just don’t expect certain people to suck at it as bad as they seem to. Some are okay, and some are just killing the language.”
E-Dialect
"Above, I mentioned 'superb, yet lightly altered, grammar'. Besides it being another part of the e-joke, what the 'lightly altered' part means exactly, is although having decent grammar, my words are being modified to match my personal dialect, so that my statements appear more organic to others.
What I'm basically saying is: I type how I talk, even if it makes me look like I made a grammatical error. I've done this typing crap long enough to actually pinpoint my real-life vocal cords, and then put them onto a screen, so that some person on the internet can get a better feeling of what I'm saying and how I’m saying it. It makes the speaker, myself, seem more organic, even though we're just communicating through a lame-ass keyboard.
An example: Instead of 'Hey, what the hell are you doing?', I personally use 'Ey'...the hell're you doin'?'. Again, the purpose is not to be 100 percent correct in grammar, but to make your statement seem more organic. It's me talking. I was born and raised in New York, Manhattan. With sentences like that one, I talk fast, just like I walk fast.
Why do I even care to do this? Well, even though it's second-nature for me now, it's more of a personal thing. I friggin' hate people who sound like robots. You know, people who seem automated, or on cruise-control, like "BAK WB TY NP". It's not fun or enjoyable to me. I like it when people add a bit of effort in their work, as well as some personal substance. The purpose is to communicate, right? Well this helps us display our personalities more clearly through the only form we can communicate at the moment (the computer). The people who can do that are like communicative artists, and they're the ones making things more fun for everybody to read, and that's why I do it. I don't dislike every person who doesn't follow my personal 'criteria', but it certainlly tells me alot less about them.
Why should you care about this? You already do, especially if you have a sense of humor; trust me. You might even already be doing this sometimes yourself. Also, and you probably wouldn't admit this to someone personally (such as myself), if everyone typed clean-cut like I did in my example, it would come off pretty boring to you, like reading a college paper. You wouldn't laugh nearly as hard at the gluttony or frustration people try to display, among other things. Just remember that 'Wate...wut?' can appear noticeably more funnier than 'Wait, what?'."
Personal Quotes
- "Yes, I think the AD board is full of spoiled anime fans. I would know; it's the only place I post."
- "Sorry, I like anime, but I'm not in love with it like some of you are, since I'm not willing to smash objects in my house over a time edit. I'm just not hardcore enough." (in regards to the Eureka 7 incident)
- "Gekiranger! Beast...ON!" (a Super Sentai reference)
- "Wild Access!!!" (a Wild Force reference)
What He's Doing Now
Still spreading his unbearable cynicism among the Action Discussion board, with the Eureka 7 mishap still fresh in the mind of other users. Furthermore, he's become active in the issue of "Elitists" vs "Regulars" in particular topics.

- High-five for justice! ~Tryble
- This person is neither a regular nor known for being anything besides a pain in the rest of the folder's collective asses. The sooner you stop fighting, the sooner it'll all be over. Oh, for ****'s sake! Why do you want to be a member of this when you don't get along with anybody? He's a pain in my ass. I can do this all day. Alright then. But if you're going to quote me, at least capitalize the proper letters when needed. What took you so long this time? --mg
- "...he is quickly gaining notice with his realistic demeanor, proper spelling..." Oh, what a riot. But yeah, proper spelling my ass, buddy. Anyway, I know you think we should be accepting of everyone new, regardless of what an asswipe he/she is, but I'm sad to say that's not how things work, my "friend." You think we should give a rat's ass about you because you claim you can use proper spelling and grammar? Give me a break. This is the internet; if I judged everyone based on their spelling and grammar, I'd have two friends (and no, you certainly wouldn't be one of them). The fact of the matter is that people are going to recognize (and perhaps ever respect) you on the boards if you can somehow find a way of working around that enormous ego of yours and start actually contributing to the place without belittling everyone. So until you can do that, just shut the **** up and stop talking about how we should be more accepting. Cadillac out!
- wow! youre already known and youre just a shady cool! umm... i dont know much about you except that i heard youre like all obbssed with grammer and spelling and stuff, but you seem pretty nice to me, i dont hate you, although i dont really know you all that well, HEY! lets be friends! yay! (if you can put up with my bad gramar and spelling and stuff) i dunno you dont seem like an a.ss to me, but then again who does? -cid
