Ailing General Secretary of the USSR. Elected to the position in 2332, he was struck down in his early 70s by Parkinsons' disease. Bazhenov has ruled the party since then from a wheelchair. He has not appeared in public since November 2365, and it is rumoured that he is on his death bed.
