Colony Ships are enormous in size and were sent by Earth to settle planets in other systems. Dwarfed in size only by the Ark Ships, and some of the newer military ships, they were designed to carry thousands of colonists with initial food, as well as construction and terraforming equipment.
Colony ships of note
- George VII - the first British FTL Colony Ship, launched to Hydra in 2143
- Seevogel - sent to the Chimera System in 2149 by Grossdeutschland
- Kiev II - sent by USSR to settle New Ukraine in 2152, and used to form the capital
