First and foremost, this Wiki is dedicated to the servicing of the 2nd generation Rx-7s. The goal is to have all fact and experience based content without opinion clouding the topics. Here's a few guidlines to keep in mind when contributing:

  • Don't add information to a topic unless you know what you're talking about, IE. adding information about how you heard your buddy did this or that, or you read somewhere that this worked, but that didn't.
  • If you're unsure on a meassurement, procedure, etc, please check your information with the forums at http://www.rx7club.com to see what other members say.
  • Use the Haynes manual or FSM as a general guideline when creating how-to articles (like bleeding air from the brakes for example.) It helps keep you from forgetting little steps during the process and makes it easy to post things like the torque specifications and tolerances while writing the article.
  • In the interest of keeping things clutter-free we are combining S4 and S5 instructions and noted where the instruction changes, or creating a sub article if the process is different. If you are unfamiliar with how the process works on a different model the Haynes manual is extremely useful because they note the differences and make it easy to include them in your article.
  • When adding images to the Wiki, keep in mind we have an uploaded file limitation of 25mb. The images don't have to be super high quality, but should be legible.
    • B&W captures from the FSM should be kept below 25kb
    • Color images should be kept below 150kb

If we all keep these guidelines in mind this document has tremendous potential and will become a great tool to help other Rx-7 owners maintain and repair their cars.
