[edit] Lyrics

God Defend Pacifica
By Ali Dewar

God granted us this land
To defend to the last
Since it is His command
Against our foes stand-fast
So let us all cry out
With pride deep in our hearts
God defend Pacifica
And God save the King (Queen)!

Long ago the Spaniards
With their mighty navy
Discovered lands southwards
On the Pacific Sea
And so they all cried out
With pride deep in their hearts
God defend Pacifica
And God save the King (Queen)!

The French did gain this land
By treaty fair and true
And landing on the sand
They saw the beauty too
And so they all cried out
With pride deep in their hearts
God defend Pacifica
And God save the King (Queen)!

Afterwards the British
Took these islands fair
As desire and wish
Was for beauty rare
And so they all cried out
With pride deep in their hearts
God defend Pacifica
And God save the King (Queen)!

Lord to you we do pray
Let us Freedom attain
Foreign lords far away
Let not over us reign
So let us all cry out
With pride deep in our hearts
God defend Pacifica
And God save the King (Queen)!
