Port Stealthing

From Windowsxp

Your computer has a large amount of ports -- that is, locations that other computers can connect to. Port Stealthing refers to making these ports invisible, by not responding to data that is sent to them.

If all your ports are stealthed, your computer appears to be offline. This is very good when it comes to protecting against people who are randomly searching IPs, and may assume that there is no computer residing at your address.
