Requested Change -- I request that the suggested 5 votes required be brought down to 4, at least for the time being. We don't have many members that will vote. Please, any opinions you have, I will listen to. -- RyGuy (talkcontribs) 08:18, 9 February 2007 (EST)

To confusing

Requested change - the sysop elect thing is too confusing. I would think your on admin probation for a month and then if the community doesn't think your doing a good job, well, you are desysopped. Any opinons? ForestH2 18:07, 10 February 2007 (EST)

One month!

One month! Bit long isn't it? There's only about 4 users here. Does it really need that long to find out whether we want them or not? (Hint: no). Archer7 11:03, 23 March 2007 (EST)

the whole setup is silly. a month to vote, then you get sysop powers, but have a buddy admin for a month. if that admin didn't like what you did, you get another one. and then another (up to three time). at that point, you either keep your admin powers or you are a "temporary admin" - whatever that means. meanwhile, you've been able to (ab)use sysop powers for 3 months while some buddy watches you. just dumb. Yeah, there are more than 4 users here but does anyone object to changing the amount of time to one week? Also, agreed with Seven of nine just make it straight forward? ForestH2 16:28, 23 March 2007 (EST)

RyGuy and Forest's RFA

Do not get closed until a fourth vote comes along. Is my say. Any other opinons? ForestH2 20:04, 16 April 2007 (EDT)

Drastic changes to RFA page

  • Amount of time is now 1 week an RFA needs
  • People rerun to make sure that they are still doing a good job.
  • Whole "buddy" policy changes with a more straightforward thing.

I'll leave this poll open for five days to a week and then I'll make the changes. There should be (Luiza, RyGuy, P.B, Sir James Paul, and others to vote on this).

  • Full Support - on all -- RyGuy (talkcontribs) 19:46, 4 June 2007 (EDT)
  • Support point one (although two weeks might be better), support point two (although we need to set a time for when admins are to re-run, such as three months), and oppose point three (the "buddy system" with the implementation of point two, is unnecessary and should be gotten rid of completely; Wikipedia [which has much more complicated sysop chores than us] doesn't need a buddy system, and we don't either). -- P.B.
