Wikimon sysops have the ability to protect pages or images that cannot be modified except by other sysops. Reasons could be:

  • Protecting high visibility pages like the Main Page from vandalisim.
  • Maintaining the integrity of Wikimon's logo.
  • Protecting the often used texts in the MediaWiki namespace.
