Hi

Independent Wiki?

Hi there! I've noticed that you've been creating a lot of pages here on the main EditThis.info wiki, on what appears to be a cohesive theme. I was wondering whether you had considered creating an independent wiki of your own here to contain all those wikipages. You are probably aware that you can do so – quickly, easily and for free – from the front page of this wiki. And having your own wiki would give you more control over the look of your pages (as well as who gets to edit them).

I want to emphasize that there is no requirement that you create your own wiki, and if you want to continue as you have been, that's perfectly fine. You're not violating any policies or anything. I just wanted to offer the idea. —Stormraven (talk · contribs) 16:04, 18 June 2007 (EDT)

Thanks for your help! I didn't originally understand how to make my own independent Wiki. I think I already made a Main page as an independent page, so I will move the rest of my files there.

I see that one person felt that my scholarly examination of logic is 'stupid' and 'a joke', I found that unfortunate. While I rely heavily on several outside sources, the writing is mine, and it is a legitimate exploration of logic. However, I will move my files to my own wiki. Thanks again!

Hannibal.

Your pages are fine, it's just that they were very long. When something gets too long, it should be included as a independent separate wiki. They were quite interesting. No encylopedia articles, in my opinon should be written here. They should be included as a sub-wiki like you did. Very interesting though. Henry 16:41, 18 June 2007 (EDT)

Thanks Henry. I now understand your complaint. Hannibal

) Happy editing on editthis.info. It's not the best system to be on, but it's still ok. I see above you changed your reply. I thought it was "a joke" because it was rather long and well the other part is harder to understand. A server is supposed to be more or less for the bugs, repairs, and other operational repairs, Feedback, questions instead of an encylopedia. That's where my opinon comes in about how all encylopedia articles should be at a sub wiki. Happy wiki editing! Henry 19:00, 18 June 2007 (EDT)
I believe that since RobKohr allows for the creation of wiki pages on this wiki, from the Main Page, it must have been his intention to allow any and all sorts of wiki pages as part of the EditThis wiki, not exclusively pages about EditThis.info. Hence my position that Hannibal's pages here have been perfectly acceptable, though I still think he'd be better served by his own wiki.
Hannibal, I've thought of other advantages to establishing your own wiki, too. A big one is that your pages will no longer be intermingled with everyone else's, so if someone visits your wiki and searches for a topic, they'll be presented with results exclusively from your wiki's content. Also you're automatically Admin of your own wiki, so you have power to delete pages, block disruptive users, etc.
Enjoy! —Stormraven (talk · contribs) 08:06, 19 June 2007 (EDT)

Excellent point! I noticed that last night, I did a search and only my pages came up. Thanks! Hannibal
