Hakon Burnside

Hakon Burnside, Psy.D., is an American politician, author, and psychologist.

Born on August 17th, 1970 as John Burnside, Jr. to John and Emily Burnside, Hakon Burnside had what one would call the traditional childhood of that time, with his parents seperating shortly after his birth. Living predominately with his father and paternal grandmother, he lived in a number of small Texas towns for the first five years of his life, before finally settling down in Wichita Falls, Texas. His father, a transient preacher with a pinchent for alcoholism, died shortly after Hakon's eighteenth birthday, and his death was soon followed by the death elderly grandmother. Left alone, Hakon begin working as a printer for the Times Record News, using what money he made to put himself through Midwestern University. Graduating in 1992 with a doctorate in psychology, focusing on social psychology.
