Plot

An old legend tells about a mythical dagger which would give, whoever who had the courage to plunge the dagger deep into one's heart, the powers of a dragon. Long ago a Chinese emperor exploited the powers of the dragon to be able to invade Tibet, but Tibetan warriors managed to retrieve the dagger, thus killing the emperor and driving his army out of Tibet. The dagger was then locked up for all eternity in a temple within the Great Wall of China. Many years later, Lara Croft is on the lookout for the dagger. But soon she will discover that someone else is also looking for the dagger, and they are willing to do all in their power to get it.
