The reason why a page is protected will determinme how you may edit it. Most pages that are protected will be locked only so that normal users cannot change them, the Main Page for example. Other pages which have been locked are locked so that normal users cannot vandalise or exploit the functioning of the wiki. For example System messages (such as "This page doesn't exis") and user's profiles (admins & banned users) are locked so that normal users cannot change them. If you are editting a locked page, follow these guidelines:

Guidelines

1. If there is no valid reason to change the page, do not change it.
2. Almost every, if not all, protected pages are written in a formal tone and in compliance to the Edit Guide.
3. If creating a protected page you must give a reason why it is being protected.
4. If an Admin abuses there powers, another Admin may rebuke their powers.
5. Other guidelines may be entered here without further notice. All guidelines are made to which all Admins agree, if an Admin does not agree he may propose an admendmant.
