The trinity is a powerful concept in all forms of christianity. This line references this as well as prefiguring the later track Multitude of Casualties, in which Holly is getting high and "hoping for a vision quest".
An economical line which connects many of the albums main themes; faith, drugs and crime (in this case theft).
