  • edge: the line where two faces meet.
  • face: a flat surface on the outside of a solid shape.
  • kite: a quadrilateral which has two pairs of adjacent edges of the same length, and no interior angle greater than 180 degrees.
  • parallelogram: a quadrilateral which has two pairs of parallel edges.
  • polyhedron: a 3-dimensional shape whose faces are all polygons.
  • prism: a 3D shape having identical faces at either end, such that any cut made parallel to the ends produces a cross-section of the same shape and size as the two ends.
  • vertex: the corner where three or more faces meet.
