Keeping Stone mace

This +5 shocking heavy mace is made from the Keeping Stone, an ancient magic item that was, until recently, used by the Keeper, a guardian placed by Venger to imprison creatures and people both good and evil that were unwilling or untrusted to help in his quest to conquer the Realm. The mace's head is the Keeping Stone itself, a cube of inscribed stone a little larger than a man's fist, attached to the haft at one corner of the cube. The haft is a hexagonal shaft of blue-gray steel banded with mithral, inscribed with many of the same markings that decorate the head.

The Keeping Stone mace's shocking ability may be activated or deactivated at will. The mace allows its wielder to cast break enchantment (3/day), heal (1/day), knock (1/day), and restoration (1/day). Once cast, these spells replenish themselves at a rate of 1/week each, so it can take up to three weeks to fully recharge the mace's ability to cast break enchantment. However, any of these spells can be cast into the mace to recharge it, in which case one casting of a spell recharges one use of the same spell.

If the mace's wielder has the ability to turn or rebuke undead, he can focus the channeled energy through the mace to amplify it. He gains a +4 bonus to his turning check against undead creatures. He also gains the ability to turn or rebuke creatures of evil alignment in exactly the same way he can turn or rebuke undead creatures, though in this case the mace does not grant the +4 bonus to the turning check. To use these amplified abilities, the wielder must display to his target both the mace and, if he has one, his holy symbol.

The Keeping Stone mace was restored to its once and current form by Kareena. It is now borne by Wes, Prince of the Universe.
