Geolane

Geolane is a powerful wizard and influential council member in Zoa. He has undertaken the task of forging a powerful magic coin to counter the power of Daresh the Necromancer, who is also reputed to be creating the same sort of coin. He has hired the heroes to collect the esoteric ingredients required for the coin's forging, and he works with Halan the alchemist to actually make the coin. (See the Quest of the Coin.)
Geolane claims to be (and is reputed to be) both good and lawful. However, he has no apparent compunctions against using dark magic to forge the coin.
