Battle at the Galenvale Dells was a 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons campaign comprised of a single massive adventure, set in the world of Aervi. The adventurers set out to investigate the interruption of the flow of the Danloc River, which led them to the discovery of an ancient, massive, underground complex now in ruin. Here they discovered a plot, guided by doppelgangers, to release a magically imprisoned tyrant from ages past.

Battle at the Galenvale Dells was a 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons campaign comprised of a single massive adventure with a few peripheral subplots. It was set in the High Fantasy world of Aervi. The adventurers were set on their path by the interruption of the flow of the Danloc River, leading them to discover Galenvale, an ancient, massive, underground complex created by dwarves and now in ruin. Here they discovered not only the cause of the river's diversion but also a plot, guided by doppelgangers, to release a magically imprisoned tyrant from ages past.

Setting

The campaign was set in Aervi, a game world previously created by Stormraven for his Pathway of Myrlem campaign. The world incorporates all of the elements of the core Dungeons & Dragons rulebooks, including such world-defining features as the deities presented therein, and it conforms to a classic High Fantasy tone.

The player-characters were based in and around the city of Danloc, a coastal port city. However, the campaign took the party into the wild for its entire run, and interaction in Danloc was almost completely limited to character introductions and post-campaign denouement.

Player-Characters

Aralos is a sailor formerly aboard the Golden Dawn. He left the ship in Kingsport to join Hilgard on his quest to find Galenvale, hoping to discover an ancient ship design rumored to be faster than anything else on the high seas. A dashing swashbuckler, Aralos is daring in battle, hearty in celebration, and fearless with the ladies.

"Shining Talon" Mandus is a noble, disciplined monk descended from a human mother and a gold dragon father. A zealous defender of the downtrodden, Mandus is also an eager explorer seeking his long-absent father. His only clue is the edge of fire, a magical greatsword left with his mother when his father departed.
